Uzbekistan's four-month foreign trade turnover reaches record levels

The influence of the New Uzbekistan in the global economic arena and its international cooperation ties are expanding and developing at a rapid pace every day. The latest official reports published by the Statistics Agency are clear evidence of this. According to them, during the first four months of 2026 (January–April), the volume of our country's foreign trade turnover reached 26.3 billion USD in total.

Compared to the same period last year, this figure shows a significant increase of 1.4 billion dollars, or 5.8 percent. It is natural that the steady steps of our economy and its activity in foreign markets bring joy to our readers. Stay tuned to our page, as we will provide a detailed breakdown of our country's trade balance, the rise in non-gold exports, and the details of our main partner countries!

Export and import balance: A positive turn in non-gold trade

In the past four months of this year, our country's export of goods reached 9.97 billion dollars, which is a 16.8 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Conversely, the volume of imports into our country grew rapidly by 26.7 percent, reaching 16.36 billion dollars. As a result, the difference, i.e., the foreign trade balance, formed a negative saldo (deficit) of 6.38 billion dollars.

However, a very encouraging and positive trend is hidden behind these figures! Excluding gold sales, a very beautiful growth dynamic was observed in the export of net goods and products.

Economic achievement: Our non-gold product exports for the first time exceeded 5 billion dollars, and compared to the same period last year, it rose by 28.7 percent. This means that Uzbekistan is successfully bringing not only raw materials but also high-value finished and processed products to the world market!
