As part of the ongoing criminal investigation into the mass poisoning incident in kindergartens in the Tashkent region, a preventive measure of imprisonment was applied to seven individuals. A Kun.uz source reported this.
It is reported that three of the detainees are the heads and responsible persons of a food production enterprise, which is believed to be the cause of the poisoning. Another four are reportedly employees of outsourcing companies supplying products to kindergartens.
It was reported that the criminal case was initially conducted by the regional Main Department of Internal Affairs, and the investigation was later transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Service reported that children affected by poisoning were diagnosed with "acute gastroenteritis." In total, 963 pupils have been diagnosed with the disease. Of these, 269 children recovered and were discharged from the hospital, and another 421 children are expected to be discharged home on September 27 due to their recovery.
At the same time, it was noted that the condition of 13 children is still moderately severe. Specialists report that they are continuing treatment under the strict supervision of doctors.
It was established that investigative actions are being carried out against the accused in this case on the basis of the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and it is said that some evidence may confirm the guilt of the persons involved in the crime.
Currently, this criminal case is generating great interest in society. Because the issue raised serious questions not only about the healthcare system, but also about the effectiveness of the provision and control system in kindergartens.
Therefore, specialists emphasize the need not only to identify the perpetrators in this case, but also to take comprehensive measures to prevent such cases in the future.
