New details have emerged regarding a serious crime that has shocked the public in the city of Bekabad. It has been revealed that a law enforcement officer, after fatally hitting a 43-year-old man with a vehicle, attempted to conceal the body and involved his spouse in the process.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on December 11. A senior operative officer of the Bekabad City Internal Affairs Department, identified as D.N., was driving a Nexia vehicle while intoxicated and struck a citizen identified as B.U. Afterward, he loaded the victim into his car, transported him to a location farther away from the scene, and called his wife, Z.N.
The woman arrived in a Matiz vehicle and assisted in transferring the body from one car to another. They then transported the body and dumped it into the Farhad Canal, located 35 kilometers from Bekabad. The lack of timely medical assistance caused the victim’s death.
On December 12, D.N. was detained, and by court decision, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Articles 266 and 117 of the Criminal Code.
The involvement of his spouse was established during the inspection of the vehicle, and an expert examination has now been appointed.
At present, operational-search and investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the incident and to locate the body of the deceased.
