Former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Temur Kapadze, participated in the "Goal" program broadcast on Sport TV and commented on the news circulating on social networks in recent days.
It is known that several foreign sources wrote that Temur Kapadze could manage the Indonesian national team. He responded to the accumulated interest and questions on this topic as follows:
"Recently, when I open the internet, there are messages about me everywhere. Indonesia is a large Muslim country with a population of 300 million. They really love football. For this reason, my name was mentioned as the head coach of their national team.
Indonesian media and TV channels are writing about candidates for the position of head coach, and I am among them. This is probably related to my previous career in various youth national teams and results in international competitions.
It was our victory over Indonesia that earned us an Olympic qualification. We also played against them at the Asian Games. I think that's why I attracted their attention. "Currently, fans, journalists, and even my social media pages are asking, 'Did you receive an invitation?'
According to him, no official proposal has yet been received from the Indonesian Football Federation, but such interest itself is perceived as a sign of great responsibility and respect.
For information, the Indonesian Football Federation recently dismissed Patrick Kluivert. Following this, local and international sports publications reported that they included Temur Kapadze in their list of potential candidates as the new head coach.
Temur Kapadze, in turn, emphasized the need to calmly approach such reports and focus on experience, results, and the development of national football.
Thus, Kapadze stated that a clear decision has not yet been made, while not yet denying rumors about Indonesia. According to him, in sports, everything will become clear with time - the main thing is a professional approach and always holding the honor of the country high.
