The bronze medal match at the U-17 Development Cup became a truly dramatic scenario. Sergey Chigodayev's team defeated Kazakhstan 3-2 in the match for 3rd place and finished the competition with a medal.
Although the teams played cautiously at the beginning of the match, the score was opened in the 23rd minute: Rasul Akimov put Kazakhstan ahead with a precise shot - 1:0. The Kazakhs managed to increase the score again: in the 42nd minute, Meiram Baltabaev scored, and the teams went to the break with a score of 2:0.
The most "interesting" turn of the game was observed in the second half. In the 54th minute, thanks to an own goal from Meiram Baltabaev, Uzbekistan managed to reduce the score - 2:1. After that, both teams gave their all for victory: the tempo increased, and the intensity and passion on the field increased.
The game was decided at the last minute. In the 79th minute, Suhrob Sadirjonov scored a crucial goal - 2:2. Less than a minute later, in the 80+1 match, Mironshoh Eshpulatov scored the winning goal with a score of 2:3. Thus, Kazakhstan lost the match for 3rd place with a score of 2:3.
