Speaking as cited by El Chiringuito, which referenced TF1, the French forward said players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Alfredo Di Stefano were also criticized, so he should not expect special treatment.
Mbappe added that Spanish fans are highly emotional and that supporting "Real Madrid" is almost like a religion for many people. His comments come as discussion around his performances continues despite a strong first season with the Madrid side.
The striker has been with "Real Madrid" since the summer of 2024. This season, he has played 35 matches in all competitions, scoring 38 goals and providing 6 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029. According to Transfermarkt, Mbappe’s market value is estimated at 200 million euros.
