Microsoft tests CPU energy-saving feature in Windows 11
A new feature called "User Interaction-Aware CPU Power Management" was introduced in Windows 11 test build 26200.5603. This function automatically reduces CPU load when there is no user activity. If no mouse movement or key presses are detected for a period of time, the system switches to a low-power mode. Once user interaction resumes, full performance is instantly restored.

This feature aims to extend battery life on laptops. It works in the background and doesn’t interfere with current tasks. It is expected to be included in the final releases of Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, according to vgtimes.ru.
