Scout AI raises $100 million for military AI models

Tests of AI-controlled military equipment are being conducted at a military base in California, USA. This system, developed by the startup Scout AI, allows soldiers to remotely manage a fleet of autonomous vehicles. Techcrunch.com reports on this.

The company announced that it has raised $100 million in an investment round led by the Align Ventures and Draper Associates funds. These funds will be directed toward improving an artificial intelligence model named "Fury," which is capable of operating independently in combat zones.

According to Kollin Otis, one of the founders of Scout AI, the new technology is adapted to make decisions in complex military situations, unlike conventional artificial intelligence. The system is expected to serve not only logistics but also the management of autonomous weaponry in the future.

Currently, the company has signed contracts with DARPA and the U.S. Army totaling $11 million. Scout AI technologies are planned for full implementation in military operations by 2027, where they will primarily perform the task of delivering ammunition and water to dangerous areas.
