One UI 9 beta released for Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung has released the first beta version of the One UI 9 software for the Galaxy S26 series. The update is currently available to users in Germany and the US, with priority given to the Galaxy S26 Ultra model. Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ users will receive the update a bit later. Based on Android 17, this update is 3.6 GB in size and includes security patches as of May 5, 2026. The new interface allows users to customize Quick Panel elements more freely and adjust brightness and volume sliders.
Desktop preview functions in Samsung DeX have been updated, and the Samsung Notes app now features a new Tape function along with additional drawing tools. Additionally, Game Booster capabilities have been expanded, allowing settings to be changed without exiting the game.
Important changes have also been made regarding privacy and usability. Specifically, a geolocation access indicator has been added, and the TalkBack feature and other accessibility options for visually impaired users have been further improved.
