MegaFon and Byuro 1440 introduce a mobile satellite complex

Operator MegaFon and the company Byuro 1440 have unveiled a new mobile satellite complex that enables 5G and 4G network coverage in any region. Consisting of a portable base station and a subscriber terminal, the device transmits signals to the operator's infrastructure via low-orbit satellites. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

The solution is designed to provide high-speed connectivity in remote areas, expeditions, and emergency zones. The complex offers services such as internet access, corporate networks, Wi-Fi, mobile data transmission, and video surveillance.

The device can operate in fully autonomous mode for up to four hours and covers a distance of up to three kilometers in direct line of sight. Data transmission speeds reach up to 150 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads.

MegaFon representative Natalya Taldykina noted that this technology allows for the creation of a secure network at any point without relying on traditional infrastructure. Byuro 1440 plans to launch next-generation satellite communication services starting in March 2026.
