China is abandoning even Nvidia gaming graphics cards: RTX 5090D v2 banned

A new wave of restrictions on NVIDIA products has begun in China: local customs authorities have refused to grant import permits for the GeForce RTX 5090D v2 model. This graphics card was a modification specifically designed for the Chinese market. This was reported by Ixbt.com .
The RTX 5090D v2 model was created as a compromise solution that meets the requirements of new US export restrictions. It featured reduced AI computing capabilities and lower memory bandwidth. Compared to the standard version's 32 GB and 512-bit bus, this model had 24 GB of GDDR7 and a 384-bit bus. However, even such a "weakened" model is now under a ban.
For NVIDIA, the situation is that there are no alternative sales markets for the GeForce RTX 5090D v2. At the same time, the supply of the regular RTX 5090 model is limited worldwide, causing prices to skyrocket. For example, in South Korea, versions like the Asus TUF RTX 5090 OC and Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 White increased in price by $300–$400 in a single day, selling for around $5,300.
In China itself, a local gaming graphics card with 12 GB of memory has appeared. However, although its price is equal to the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, in terms of performance, it does not even reach the level of the GeForce RTX 3060.
