Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with several heads of state in Turkmenistan

Within the framework of his working visit to Turkmenistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. Issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, transport and logistics, and cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed. The results of the implementation of the agreements reached during the Georgian Prime Minister's visit to Uzbekistan in March of this year were noted with satisfaction.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also held a trilateral meeting with the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov. Issues of expanding mutually beneficial regional cooperation and promoting joint projects were discussed. First of all, it was noted that there are opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and logistics, industry, and agriculture. It was agreed to continue dialogue in this format to develop promising projects of practical cooperation.

In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. As part of preparations for upcoming high-level events, current issues of further expanding Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership were considered. It was noted with satisfaction that mutual trade is steadily increasing and cooperation in the fields of industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and water management is expanding.

The importance of ensuring the effectiveness of the intergovernmental commissions, Business Council, Regional Forum, and a number of cultural events scheduled for this year was emphasized.
