The President emphasized mahalla values

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev used his Navruz holiday address to underline the special place of the mahalla in Uzbekistan’s social life, describing it as a beautiful symbol of the homeland. He said the idea of the mahalla remains a sacred value for citizens and reflects the people’s unity, tolerance and mutual care.
The head of state noted that broad programs and plans are being carried out this year under the banner of the Year of Developing the Mahalla and Elevating Society. According to him, the mahalla system plays a central role in strengthening peace and harmony, addressing social problems where they arise, and promoting kindness and justice in local communities.
Mirziyoyev stressed that the contribution of respected elders, members of the “mahalla seven,” and active citizens is especially important in these efforts. He also expressed strong confidence in representatives of the mahalla system and highly praised their role in the country’s development.
The president also congratulated all mahalla chairpersons, activists and citizens ahead of Mahalla System Workers’ Day, which will be marked tomorrow, and wished them new achievements and success. As emphasized in the speech, the mahalla institution remains an important force in ensuring social stability, improving public well-being and bringing society closer together.
