
High-level talks were held in Tashkent between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico. At the end of the talks, important documents were signed, laying the foundation for a new stage in bilateral relations.
The most notable event was the signing of a joint declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership relations between the two countries. This will contribute to further strengthening the ties between Uzbekistan and Slovakia.
During the visit, in the presence of the leaders of both states, documents aimed at expanding cooperation in several areas were signed. In particular:
- An agreement on training and advanced education of personnel in the diplomatic field;
- An agreement on the exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects in the field of agriculture;
- A document on cooperation in standardization, metrology, and product conformity assessment;
- An agreement on cooperation in the regulation of energy markets;
- A cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2025–2026;
- In addition, a two-year cooperation program in the field of standardization was exchanged.
These agreements are expected not only to strengthen bilateral relations but also to open up new opportunities in the economic, scientific, and technical spheres.
Both sides assessed the dialogue as mutually beneficial and expressed readiness to implement multilateral projects in the near future. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
