Israel: Our Strikes on Iran Are Vital for European Security
Against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East, Israel and the European Union are actively continuing diplomatic dialogue. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar made a significant statement during a phone call with the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. According to him, Israel’s military operations on Iranian territory are aimed not only at protecting its own country but also at contributing to Europe’s security.

Gideon Saar shared information about the conversation on his X social media account. He noted that the discussion covered Israel’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear program and military infrastructure, as well as Iran’s attacks on Israeli civilians.

“I explained to Kaja Kallas how Israel’s operations in Iran directly contribute to European security. Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and drone technologies pose a serious threat not only to the Middle East but also to Europe,” Saar stated.

According to the minister, Israel has not yet completed its current operations and intends to carry them through. The goal is to destroy military infrastructure to serve the cause of security.

Saar also drew the attention of the European Union and the international community to an important distinction: Israel is targeting only military sites, whereas Iran is deliberately attacking civilians and non-military targets.

This statement is seen as Israel’s attempt to justify its actions on the international stage. As talks continue, issues of order and security in the region are becoming increasingly urgent.
