Women "lack chemistry" – who carries the blame in divorces?

The topic of family relationships remains one of the most painful and complex for many. On this subject, a statement by a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Gennady Shkil, sparked major controversy in society, reported pravmir.ru.

According to him, 80% of modern divorces happen because of women. The reason – they lack natural "chemical feelings", meaning emotional patience and inner stability. According to Gennady Shkil, today's women misunderstand love: for them, love is passion, romance, emotions, and harmony. But as soon as that "spark" fades, marriage becomes a burden for them.

“Today's marriages are often not based on genuine affection and loyalty, but on lust and initial emotional excitement. And when these feelings fade, it is especially women who react to family issues with impatience,” says the priest.

According to Shkil, the “chemistry” in a woman's nature means the ability to maintain stability in the family, support the man, engage in sincere communication, and show tolerance. He emphasizes that these traits are lacking in modern women. They tend to demand more, constantly seek approval, and expect relationships to "always bloom," which ultimately leads to family breakdown.

He called not only women, but also society at large, to be more responsible in this area. “Girls should be raised from childhood to value not only appearance but also inner depth, patience, and loyalty. But in times when these values are disappearing, the rise in divorces becomes inevitable,” the Archpriest noted.

Opinions on this issue vary. Some strongly criticize this view, while others see it as a bitter truth of life. But one thing is clear — thinking, debating, and exchanging opinions on this topic is very important for building a stable family environment in society.
