
On July 20, a dangerous situation arose in the skies over Moscow. According to the city’s mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, Russian air defense forces shot down 19 drones heading toward Moscow overnight and in the morning.
One of the unmanned aerial vehicles crashed into a multi-story residential building in Zelenograd. As a result of the incident, one apartment was damaged, and due to falling drone debris, two cars caught fire. No information has been reported about casualties or injuries.
According to the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), flights at Moscow airports were temporarily suspended on July 19 and 20. As a result, 134 aircraft were redirected to reserve airfields. On the same day, flights were also restricted at Kaluga Airport.
Additionally, on Saturday evening in the Rostov region, drone debris from Ukrainian UAVs damaged power lines, leading to serious disruptions in rail transport. In particular, 75 long-distance passenger trains experienced delays. Russian Railways is taking the necessary measures to ensure passenger convenience.
