American girl collects over 4,000 puzzles, sets record

American Liza Fairman has been entered into the Guinness World Records as the owner of the largest puzzle collection in the world. This was reported on the organization’s official website.

The previous record was set in 2023 by American John Wolchak, who had collected 2,000 puzzles. Liza nearly doubled that number — her collection now includes 4,060 different puzzles.

She developed an interest in puzzles in 2019. Since then, she has chosen products by Ravensburger Puzzles. The collection includes series dedicated to Christmas scenes, Disney characters, the “Friends” TV show, James Bond films, and the famous “Hello Kitty” — 123 themed puzzles in total.

Some of Liza’s items are extremely rare. For example, she spent seven years searching for a puzzle depicting Yoda from “Star Wars.”

Apart from collecting, she also participates in puzzle competitions. So far, she has taken part in three national championships and once in the world championship. However, Liza admits that she often feels “exhausted” after such contests:

— Competitions are a bit challenging for me, so I prefer to take part in pairs or teams. But I really enjoy meeting other puzzle enthusiasts, making friends, and connecting with artists at these events, — she says.

According to her, she never intended to break a record:
— For me, it was simply a favorite hobby. The interest in puzzles gradually turned into a great passion, that’s all, — says the record holder.

Thus, Liza Fairman’s collection has become the largest puzzle collection not only in the USA but worldwide.
