In the city of Schwabach, Bavaria, residents of an apartment building, tired of the constant night intercom ringing, contacted the police. According to The Guardian, the “culprit” of the incident turned out to be not schoolchildren, but a slug.
At first, local residents thought that schoolchildren were joking. “We had already gone to bed... Usually after 10 p.m. we do not open the door, so when the doorbell rang, I tried to ignore it. I thought it might be children doing this,” said a resident of the building named Liza.
However, during the calls the motion sensor did not work. Over time, the residents felt so “disturbed” that they decided to call the police.
Together with the police officers, the residents carefully inspected the door panel and found a slug crawling on it. “We could even clearly see the trail of slime it left behind while crawling over the sensors,” recalls another local resident.
At the same time, in France, due to a swarm of jellyfish, a nuclear power plant was forced to temporarily shut down its operations.
