Interesting news for coffee lovers has been recorded - the record for the most expensive coffee in the world. According to the official website of the Guinness Book of Records, this unique drink was prepared at the Roasters Specialty Coffee House in Dubai, UAE.
According to the data, the price of one cup of coffee was 2500 dirhams, which is approximately 680 US dollars. Thus, it was recorded as the highest-selling coffee in history. Interestingly, the identity of the customer who bought such expensive coffee was not disclosed.
The special drink is made from a rare Arabica grain of the genus Geisha, grown on the farm Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama. This variety is among the world's most expensive, low-yielding grains with a distinctive aroma and taste.
Barista masters note that the process of preparing coffee has also become a kind of ritual. The grains underwent special processing, and their natural properties were preserved at each stage. As a result, the drink is not only valuable, but also distinguished by its unique taste.
Among coffee lovers, "Geisha" grains were previously known as one of the rarest products in the world. However, this coffee, made in Dubai, further enhanced its prestige and set another record.
