A terrible incident occurred in the French city of Havre. A two-year-old boy named Ismail was seriously injured when attacked by a large rat in his home. This incident caused strong discontent not only among the family, but also among the residents of the entire mahalla. Because, although they have complained about unsanitary conditions and a large number of rodents for many years, appropriate measures have not been taken. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
According to the parents, Ismail was attacked by a rat while sleeping at night. The mother found it contaminated with blood and rat tracks. The child's ear was severely damaged - a rodent chewed off part of it. Ulcers were also found on his face and hands.
The victim's mother said in deep anguish:
"I wouldn't want even my worst enemy to find his child in the same condition as mine."
According to local media, the toddler was so frightened during the attack that he didn't even have time to scream.
After Ismail was taken to the hospital, a severe infection was observed on his hand, and his condition remains serious. Doctors are considering ear restoration or skin transplantation.
Residents of the building where the tragedy occurred say this is not the first time. They have repeatedly complained about the rat problem, but the management company has not taken any effective measures. This remains a serious threat to the safety of the population.
