The Wall Street Journal reports that US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, did not rule out the possibility of lifting restrictions on Kyiv's use of long-range weapons. However, he didn't make a clear promise about this.
At the meeting, Zelenskyy asked Trump to provide more long-range weapons and lift restrictions on their use. According to the newspaper's sources, Trump has stated that he is not against this idea, but has not undertaken any commitments.
For reference, the Pentagon has imposed a number of restrictions on the use of ATACMS missiles and other weapons transferred to Ukraine since this spring. Pentagon Secretary Pete Hagset and his deputy, Elbridge Colby, are working on reviewing these restrictions.
