In order to save the Palestinian administration from financial difficulties, a number of influential countries of the world took the initiative. According to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 12 countries, including France, Great Britain, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and others, have formed a joint donor coalition.
The main task of the coalition is to ensure the financial stability of Palestine, support the public administration system, and establish the provision of necessary services to the population. This action was used as a response to the financial crisis caused by Israel's withholding of Palestinian tax and customs revenues.
According to reports, at least $170 million in aid is currently planned to be allocated within the coalition. The largest share - 90 million dollars - belongs to Saudi Arabia. The remaining funds are provided by other countries.
At the same time, the donor coalition called on the Israeli government to immediately transfer financial revenues to Palestine and not obstruct the administration's activities.
To date, more than 150 states have officially recognized the State of Palestine. This further demonstrates the great interest and desire for assistance in the process of stabilizing Palestine at the international level.
