Dilnoza Ahmadzoda, a representative of the lower house of the parliament of Tajikistan, paid special attention to the issue of children's use of social networks and proposed to impose restrictions on them.
At the initiative of the deputy:
- The use of social networks is completely prohibited for children under 14 years of age;
- Adolescents aged 14 to 17 will be able to enter only with the written consent of their parents.
Ahmadzoda expressed his proposal in an article published in the "People's Newspaper." In his opinion, unrestricted use of the Internet and social networks can negatively affect the mental and spiritual development of children.
However, experts emphasize the need for caution in this matter. According to them, a complete ban is practically ineffective and the existing problems cannot be fully solved. Therefore, it is important to teach young people the rules of digital hygiene, develop critical thinking skills, and strengthen educational work.
