A serious road accident involving a minibus occurred in Mersin, a city in southeastern Turkey. Turkish media reported that at least five people died as a result of the tragedy, and more than ten were injured to varying degrees.
According to the information, there were workers working in agriculture in the minibus that crashed. On the way to work in the morning, they lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a roadside barrier.
Emergency medical services and police arrived at the scene. The injured were transferred to nearby hospitals. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
According to preliminary information, all the deceased and injured were citizens of Turkey.
Turkish officials called the incident a "very serious disaster" and expressed their condolences to the families of the victims. Traffic safety services are currently investigating the causes of the accident.
According to experts, the main reasons for such incidents may be excessive loads, fatigue of drivers, and poor road conditions.
