The interim ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been extended again, Dawn reported. It is reported that this decision was made at the request of the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
According to sources, negotiations to resolve the conflict will be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The Pakistani delegation has already arrived, and representatives of Afghanistan are expected to arrive on October 18.
The truce is valid until the end of the negotiations. Recall that on October 15, the two countries reached an agreement on a ceasefire for the next 48 hours.
The clashes on the Pakistani-Afghan border began on the evening of October 11 and continued until the morning of the next day. According to Afghan officials, at least 12 people were killed and more than 100 injured during the fighting.
Currently, it is reported that the two countries are striving to stabilize the situation through negotiations.
