A girl who tried to organize a terrorist attack in Bishkek has been detained

A person who threatened to commit a terrorist attack by security services has been detained in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan announced this on October 18.

According to reports, this situation was revealed after messages were distributed through the Telegram channel "Bishkek Horror." During the investigation, it was revealed that Ukrainian citizen Ya. Ovsyuk created this channel and later changed its name to "AVERSION." Through the channel, he spread false information about terrorist attacks in city schools and large shopping centers.

According to the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for National Security, a user named "ayana" expressed his intention to blow up the "GUM," "SUM," "Bishkek Park," "Dordoy Plaza," "Azia Mall," and "Tommi Mall" shopping malls via audio message. These false threats caused panic and fear among the population, and some public places were temporarily closed.

As a result of prompt measures taken by the special services of Kyrgyzstan, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, G.A., was detained as part of the criminal case. He was placed in a temporary detention facility as a suspect in the threat of a terrorist act (Article 252, Part 1 of the Criminal Code).

According to official data, an investigation into all the circumstances of the incident is currently underway. The investigation also examines the possible causes of the spread of false information and the involvement of other persons.

The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for National Security appealed to the public, urging them not to believe such provocations, not to disseminate unverified information, and to contact official bodies about any suspicious incidents.
