A South Carolina woman won half a million dollars after her husband forgot to buy lottery tickets. She decided to go to the store herself and purchased the winning ones. She shared the story with the lottery company’s staff.
It all began when the couple went shopping together. After leaving the store, the woman realized that her forgetful husband hadn’t bought the lottery tickets, so she went back on her own.
“I was standing in line, and these bright, shiny, sparkling tickets caught my attention. I bought three,” she said.
The first two tickets didn’t bring any luck, but the third one made the American woman $500,000 richer. She said she already knows how she’ll spend the money — part will go toward a trip, and the rest will be used for an early retirement.
