Iran's water shortage has halted electricity generation

Water scarcity is becoming a serious problem in several regions of Iran. According to the local news agency Tasnim, due to a sharp drop in the water level at the Kerkhe dam, the generation of electricity through it has been completely stopped.

Experts attribute this to years of drought, improper water resource management, and reduced rainfall. This situation negatively affects not only power outages, but also the lives of the population and industrial activities.

Experts say that if the water shortage continues, other dams may also fail. This poses a serious threat to the national energy system. Officials are currently racking their brains over alternative solutions.
