Another difficult and tragic incident was recorded in Kazakhstan. Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, during search and rescue operations in the Almaty mountains, discovered the bodies of three people at an altitude of 3700 meters.
According to official data, the deceased decided to climb the mountain road on December 24, and after some time, communication with them was completely lost. Following this, rescue services launched a large-scale operation.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the bodies of two people were found near the "Lokomotiv" peak at an altitude of 3,700 meters above sea level. Earlier, during the search, the death of another person belonging to this group was discovered. Thus, it became known that all members of the group of three had died.
It is noted that the deceased were not professional climbers. All of them are citizens of Kazakhstan, and it is said that they did not have special training and sufficient experience in mountain climbing. Officials believe that these factors may have led to a tragic outcome.
Search and rescue operations were carried out in very difficult conditions. About 80 rescuers, 12 units of special equipment, four canine teams, and four drones were involved in the operation. The extreme cold, altitude, and mountainous terrain made the search process even more difficult.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations once again called on tourists and mountain tourists to strictly observe safety regulations. Experts strongly recommend studying weather conditions in advance, paying attention to the risk of landslides, not traveling alone, and not climbing mountains without the necessary equipment.
It was reported that since the beginning of 2025, rescuers have conducted 119 search and rescue operations in various mountainous regions of Kazakhstan. This indicates that the danger in the mountains is still high and caution is more important than ever.
This tragedy reminds us once again that mountains do not forgive mistakes. Every step requires responsibility, preparation, and a conscious decision.
