Uzbekistan sent 390 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

On December 29, a ceremony of handing over the next humanitarian aid to the Afghan people on behalf of the leadership of Uzbekistan took place in the city of Hairatan, Balkh province, Afghanistan.

It was reported that the humanitarian cargo with a total weight of about 390 tons was formed at the Termez Cargo Centre site. The aid includes food products, medicines, and medical equipment.

During the familiarization with the humanitarian cargo, the khokim of Balkh region, M. Vafo, expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the constant assistance provided to the Afghan people. It was emphasized that this initiative is an expression of the consistent policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan aimed at supporting the Afghan people.

It is noted that this humanitarian action is the fourth aid to Afghanistan in 2025.

The head of the Balkh region also paid special attention to the measures taken by Uzbekistan to strengthen bilateral relations and expand trade and economic cooperation. According to him, in recent years, the volume of Afghan exports has increased significantly, which contributes to the improvement of the socio-economic situation and the well-being of the population in the country.
