Is the US suspending immigration visas to 75 countries?

According to sources such as AFP, Reuters, and AP, the US State Department has approved a plan to temporarily suspend the processing of immigration visas for citizens of 75 countries. It is said that this measure will come into force on January 21, 2026, and will last indefinitely.
Sources note that the decision is based on the assessment of "public charge" (i.e., the likelihood of needing government assistance after moving to the USA is high). For this reason, embassies have been instructed to reassess visa processing procedures.
The most important point: we are mainly talking about immigration visas - there is also information that non-immigrant visas such as tourist/business visas are exceptions.
The list issue remains "foggy": some publications cite specific countries as examples (for example, Somalia, Russia, Iran, and others), but there is no definitive confirmation that the complete list is uniform everywhere and has been officially published openly.
As for Uzbekistan, as in the text you cited: so far, the name Uzbekistan has not appeared among the openly mentioned examples. But this doesn't mean "not at all" - the official full list will be clarified.
