Iran gets go-ahead for talks with US: geopolitical process accelerates

Axios reported that Iran's supreme leadership has given permission to participate in talks with the US. According to the source, the Iranian delegation had been awaiting the official 'green light' for some time, and this signal was given on the evening of April 20.
This indicates that Tehran has officially signaled its readiness for the negotiation process. This decision suggests a new phase may begin in the complex relationship between the two countries.
It was reported that Washington had also been awaiting a clear position from Iran until this time. Meanwhile, countries like Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey have been mediating, urging Tehran to return to the negotiation table.
However, there is no consensus within Iran on this issue. Some influential forces, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, advocate for not rushing into negotiations and maintaining a firm stance. They believe it is too early to start negotiations as long as the US-imposed maritime blockade is not lifted.
According to sources, the next round of negotiations may be held in Islamabad. The US delegation is expected to be led by Vice President J.D. Vance.
So far, official Tehran has not made a clear and open statement regarding this information. Therefore, the situation remains dynamic and fluid.
In short, Iran's agreement to negotiations could drastically alter the situation in the international political arena. The main question now is what outcome these dialogues will lead to.
