China has abolished tariffs for nearly all African nations

The Chinese government has made a significant decision to further strengthen trade and economic ties with African nations. According to it, Beijing has announced the complete abolition of import tariffs for the majority of countries on the continent.
This preferential treatment covers almost all African states. Eswatini, which maintains diplomatic relations with Taiwan, is the only exception to this preference.
According to reports, China had previously implemented a duty-free trade regime for 33 of Africa's least developed countries as of December 2024. This opportunity has now been expanded to include a total of 53 countries.
Experts note that this decision will serve to increase the export potential of African nations, support their economic development, and significantly expand trade volumes with China.
Furthermore, these customs preferences are set to remain in effect until April 30, 2028. This creates a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.
Observers believe that this move by China holds significant importance not only from an economic perspective but also from a geopolitical one.
