The introduction of eco-stickers for cars in Uzbekistan has been delayed

The implementation of the "Environmental Transport" system, aimed at reducing pollutant emissions into the atmosphere, has been extended in Uzbekistan. According to Government Resolution No. 562 of September 4, 2025, the introduction of special eco-stickers for cars will begin on January 1, 2026.

It should be recalled that initially this system was planned to come into force on March 1, 2025. However, due to technical and organizational preparations, its implementation was postponed by one year.

In accordance with the resolution, the "Ecological Transport" system will be implemented in stages:

- first stage (2025-2027): will be implemented as an experiment in the territory of the city of Tashkent;

- second stage (2028-2030): will be established in the city of Nukus, all regional centers and ecological zones where necessary, including tourist centers, nature reserves, recreation and health resorts;

- third stage (2031-2034): will be fully implemented in all regions of the country.

The environmental class established by the manufacturer ("Euro" standard) is taken as a basis for assessing the impact of the car on the environment. If there is no information about the environmental category of the vehicle, then the State Unitary Enterprise "Center for Innovative Projects and Public Service" under the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducts an inspection through special diagnostics and issues a conclusion.

Eco-stickers come in different colors:

- green - for vehicles that fully comply with the standard and have minimal impact on the atmosphere;

- yellow - for vehicles with a moderate level of pollution;

- red - for vehicles with high emissions of pollutants.
