Tesla cars under investigation

The US government has launched an investigation into Tesla’s autopilot system. The reason is reports that cars drove on the wrong side of the road and failed to stop at red lights.

The investigation covers 2.9 million vehicles. In this mode, the car moves independently, but the driver must maintain control. In some cases, these incidents led to accidents.

Officials said Tesla is working to fix the issue. The investigation will also examine cases where cars crossed into the wrong lane while turning.

Tesla has not commented on the matter.
