The state will partially cover the costs of charging electric vehicles

In accordance with Presidential Decree No. UP-22 dated February 16, 2026, a number of benefits have been introduced for owners of electric vehicle charging stations. The document provides for reforms within the framework of the "Year of Mahalla Development and Enhancement of Society" and measures for the implementation of the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy.
According to the new procedure, more than 300 soums of the cost of 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity at charging stations will be covered from the State budget. This is aimed at reducing the costs of entrepreneurs.
Targeted loans with a 10% interest rate will also be allocated to entrepreneurs establishing charging stations for electric vehicles. This financial support contributes to the development of the industry.
In addition, the starting price of land plots purchased for charging stations at auction will be set at twice the market price.
As a result of the measures taken, it is planned to increase the number of charging stations for electric vehicles in the regions of the republic to 4 thousand.
