Samarkand Factory Listed for Sale at 52 Billion Soum

The former silk weaving factory, located in the historic center of Samarkand city, has been put up for auction on the "E-auksion" electronic trading platform with an initial price of 52.17 billion soums. This industrial complex is situated at the intersection of Firdausi and Gagarin streets in the southwestern part of the city, covering an area of 2.91 hectares.

The complex includes production and administrative buildings with a total area of 47,700 square meters, of which 24,950 square meters are ready for use. All necessary utilities, including gas, electricity, water, and sewage systems, are available and in working condition.

However, the buildings do not contain production equipment, providing future investors the opportunity to repurpose the site for other uses. The decision to put the property up for sale was made based on a relevant enforcement order from the Tashkent City Economic Court.

The auction will be held on December 9, and participants can submit applications until 9:00 AM on the same day, with bidding beginning at 10:00 AM. The sale of such a significant property within the city offers vast opportunities for urban development.

Due to its convenient location and existing infrastructure, the former factory has the potential to be transformed into a modern multifunctional complex. Historically, Samarkand has been one of the main centers of the Great Silk Road and has a centuries-old legacy in silk production.

Samarkand's silk carpets and textiles are renowned for their quality and unique patterns that harmoniously combine various cultural traditions.
