Illegal transplant "scheme" exposed in Tashkent...

The operatives of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service detained persons suspected of criminal activity related to the illegal purchase and sale of human organs and tissues in the territory of Tashkent city.

As revealed during the pre-investigation investigation, a citizen born in 1989, previously convicted under Part 2 of Article 277 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, entered the country in collusion with his spouse in search of "easy money". It was noted that they prepared videos on the Internet and social networks calling for mercy and distributed them through various pages.

As a result of urgent measures, it was revealed that this person was constantly involved in illegal transplantation of human organs and tissues through donor issues for men. In particular, it is said that he was engaged in organizing operations for certain individuals at the Istiqlol clinic (Tajikistan).

It was also reported that he himself performed kidney transplants and involved other individuals in these operations. They operated through platforms such as Telegram, Instagram and YouTube, advertising and finding "clients".

In this case, a criminal case was initiated against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 133¹ of the Criminal Code, and a precautionary measure of arrest was applied.

Such crimes begin with "quick money" and directly threaten the fate and health of a person. Therefore, the exposure of such schemes is a difficult but necessary signal for society: there is still an answer before the law.
