Serious discrepancies have been uncovered during an ongoing inventory process in the collections of Uzbekistan's museums. It has been revealed that nearly 500 exhibits from the Kokand State Museum-Reserve and its branches, as well as 16 exhibits from the Sirdaryo State Museum, are missing, despite being recorded in the museum's inventory.

Relevant documents have been submitted to the prosecutor's office to provide a legal assessment of the situation. It has not yet been disclosed when or under what circumstances the exhibits went missing.

Inventory work is being carried out in the collections of national museums to assess the preservation status of museum items and collections.

During the inspection, it was noted that certain items listed in the inventory documents were not actually present in their designated locations.

The largest discrepancy was identified at the Kokand State Museum-Reserve and its branches.
