Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, known in English football as the "Gunners", has commented on the team's failure to reach the final of the Champions League after losing to PSG in the semi-finals.
Wenger analyzed the two matches in his statement and noted that Arsenal were less active than their opponents and did not pose a sufficient threat in attack.
"Overall, PSG had the upper hand in both matches. They had more chances, but Arsenal did not pose a serious threat," said Wenger.
Experience and pressure
Arsene Wenger also noted that the team's technical potential and young squad were not sufficiently prepared for high-pressure matches like the final. In his opinion, experience and psychological stability are decisive factors at such stages.
“A team that has performed well in the lower stages should not lose its composure as it approaches the final. Experience here, like with PSG, made a big difference,” the coach said.
PSG — towards the intended title
According to Wenger, the Parisian club has been preparing seriously for the European championship all season and has been tactically focused in every match.
