In recent days, various rumors have spread in the media and social networks about the possible transfer of the head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Timur Kapadze, to the Chinese national team. Some sources even claimed that Kapadze is already negotiating with the Chinese Football Association.
However, the coach himself denied such reports. Kapadze, who is currently in England, clarified the situation in an interview with championat.asia.
"Lately, a lot of misinformation has spread about me. Sometimes I read it on internet sites and I myself am amazed. I can say one thing for sure: I have not held any negotiations with China. Neither I nor the Uzbekistan Football Association have received an official invitation from China. "Therefore, the reports circulating are completely untrue," said Kapadze.
He emphasized that he is still the head coach of the Uzbekistan national team and has a contract valid until the end of November. He also revealed the reason for his stay in England:
"The main purpose of my visit is to see the performances of the national team member Abduqodir Husanov. I also intend to get to know the Manchester City club's academy closely and learn from their experience," said the coach.
At the same time, Kapadze emphasized that he fully dedicates his work to the Uzbekistan national team and that there is absolutely no basis for rumors about China.
