At the meeting between the First Vice-President of the Football Association of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Irmatov, and the President of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan, Marat Omarov, issues of further deepening ties between the two neighboring countries, exchanging experience, and implementing joint projects at the regional level were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, UFA representatives provided information on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan's football sector, new infrastructure plans, and the expansion of football education and academy networks. It was also noted that at the initiative of the head of state, work is underway to organize a tournament among the Turkic states, and the National Football Center has been commissioned.
Ravshan Ermatov noted the strengthening of a systematic approach to football management, the launch of the Referees' Academy to ensure transparency, the establishment of training programs for young referees, and the launch of a centralized VAR system at the National Football Center. At the same time, it was announced that 14 regional football academies across the country operate based on a unified methodology, and a complete digitalization system has been implemented in the football sector. The idea of organizing the "FIFA Central Asian Cup" was also at the center of the discussion.
The Kazakh side, in turn, announced that work is being consistently carried out to modernize football infrastructure, increase the number of private clubs, and attract specialists from Germany for medical centers. It was noted that the construction of new sports grounds, in particular "arena football" facilities, has begun throughout the country, the opening of the "Atletico" academy is planned in the near future, and steps are being consistently taken to expand the sponsorship system and strengthen youth training.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation with UEFA and FIFA more effectively, to increase mutual friendly meetings, and to jointly launch training programs for specialists. Following the meeting, a firm agreement was reached to strengthen friendship and partnership between the football associations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The best news for fans is that the number of friendly matches between the youth and junior national teams, as well as the first teams, will increase. This means a large field for new talents, a new spirit for regional competition, and an even more vibrant atmosphere in the stadiums.
