Former England national team footballer Paul Scholes has attributed Liverpool's failures this season to an unexpected factor. The team, under the management of Arne Slot, has suffered eight defeats in their last 11 matches.
"It all started at the end of last season – do you remember when they became champions? The downfall began when they went to Ibiza or a similar place.
Arne Slot was DJing there. I think that's inappropriate," Scholes said on "The Good, The Bad and The Football" podcast.
After 12 rounds of the Premier League, Liverpool have accumulated 18 points and currently sit in 12th place in the league standings. On Wednesday, Liverpool will face PSV in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.
