Viktor Goncharenko, the former head coach of Moscow's CSKA football club, is reportedly close to being appointed as the head coach of the Belarus national team. The parties have reportedly agreed on the terms of a contract valid until 2027.
According to insider Ivan Karpov, who shared the information on his social media channels, the 48-year-old specialist's monthly salary with the national team will amount to €20,000. Goncharenko's last workplace was with "Pari NN," a club he left in the summer of 2025.
The Belarusian coach is also known for his stints with "Krasnodar," CSKA, "Kuban," "Ural," "Ufa," and BATE. It is worth noting that Alexander Kulchy had previously described Goncharenko as the most suitable candidate for the Belarus national team.
