Bayern Munich has suffered another blow. Defender Alphonso Davies is sidelined again due to muscular issues. Head coach Vincent Kompany confirmed the Canadian's absence during the press conference ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg, as reported by Goal.com .
Following their disappointing Champions League semi-final exit, this news comes as a major setback for Bayern. Vincent Kompany stated he could not provide a specific return date, as they are awaiting medical test results. Davies has struggled to regain his form this season following a serious knee injury.
Kompany also announced that Serge Gnabry will miss the match against Wolfsburg due to injury. Although Bayern has already secured the Bundesliga title, the coach emphasized that the team must finish the season professionally and prepare for the DFB-Pokal final.
Wolfsburg is currently fighting for survival in the league, sitting in 16th place. While the result does not affect Bayern's standing, the coach is demanding a high-level performance from his players despite the squad issues.
