Inter Miami is the clear leader in MLS in terms of financial expenditure. The team's total payroll is $54.6 million, which is $20 million more than the second-placed club, LAFC. New signings like German Berterame are also among the highest earners in the squad.

Second place in the rankings is held by LAFC forward Son Heung-Min, who earns over $11 million per year. The top five also includes Rodrigo De Paul ($9.7 million) and Chucky Lozano ($9 million). Players such as Miguel Almiron, Emil Forsberg, and Sam Surridge are also listed among the league's highest-paid players.

On the other hand, clubs like Philadelphia Union, Sporting Kansas City, and CF Montreal operate with much more modest budgets. For example, Philadelphia Union's total payroll is only $11.7 million, which is one of the lowest in the league.
