The mobile operator "Beeline" has begun sending warning messages to its subscribers in Moscow regarding potential restrictions on mobile communication and SMS services from May 5 to May 9. Company representatives stated that these measures are related to holiday events taking place in the capital. This was reported by Ixbt.com xabar beradi.
Subscribers are advised to rely on Wi-Fi networks for internet access and to use VoLTE technology for voice calls. Other major telecommunications operators, including "MTS", "Megafon", and "T2", have so far declined to comment on the matter.
It is worth noting that large-scale disruptions to mobile internet were also observed in the Moscow region in May 2025. Subsequently, the practice of such restrictions spread to other regions.
Authorities have explained this as a necessity to ensure security.
