Prime Video launches TikTok-style Clips feature

Amazon has announced the addition of a short-video feed called “Clips” to the Prime Video app. Initially rolling out to users in the US, this feature is designed to engage viewers and encourage them to watch full movies or series. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
Through these short videos, users can add movies to their watchlist, share them with friends, or access full content via subscription. According to Bryan Griffin, Director of Prime Video’s global app experience, this update allows users to discover new content more easily through short clips tailored to their interests.
Amazon previously tested this feature during the NBA season. Currently, platforms like Netflix, Peacock, Tubi, and Disney are using similar solutions. This method helps viewers spend more time on the platform and discover new series.
The Clips feature is currently available to a limited number of users on iOS, Android, and Fire tablets. A wider rollout is planned for the summer months. Users can watch vertical-format videos via a dedicated carousel on the app's home screen.
