Games have arrived on the Amazon Prime Video platform

Amazon has announced the integration of its Luna cloud gaming service into the Prime Video streaming platform to further expand its reach. Users can now play various genres of games directly within the app, alongside movies and series. This step is a key strategic move to turn the Amazon platform into a single hub for all types of entertainment content. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

As part of the new feature, popular titles such as “Hogwarts Legacy”, “EA Sports FC 26”, and “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” are available to users. The library also includes classic games like “Clue” and “Taboo”. For now, the service has been launched for Fire TV device owners in the US and UK, but the company plans to cover other regions and devices soon.

Streaming and gaming integration

Amazon is following the Netflix model in implementing this strategy. As is known, Netflix has been developing a games section on its platform for several years. However, Amazon’s advantage is that it already had an independent cloud gaming service called Luna. While a separate app was previously required to use the service, Prime members can now access games via a dedicated “Games” section in the Prime Video interface.

The game library includes not only products from third-party studios but also exclusive titles developed by Amazon’s own gaming division, such as “Courtroom Chaos” and “Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite”. According to company representatives, the list of games will be enriched with new titles every month.

Gaming world without expensive consoles

Amazon’s main goal is to simplify the gaming process as much as possible and make it accessible to everyone. Thanks to Luna cloud technology, users do not need expensive game consoles or high-performance PCs. Games load as easily and quickly as watching videos.

Jeff Gattis, General Manager of Amazon Games, noted that for many people, finding and installing quality games remains a complex process. “By bringing Luna into Prime Video, we allow users to discover games naturally. If they like a game, they just click a button and the process begins. This means spending less time searching and more time enjoying the game,” he says.

Users can use special controllers or their smartphones to control the games. Although this service is currently limited for users in Uzbekistan, such a move by the global tech giant is expected to completely change the digital entertainment industry worldwide in the future. Amazon has promised to expand the service to other countries in the coming months.
